USA enlisting BNP as a terrorist organization

News Desk: United States of America might enlist BNP as a terrorist organization based on the verdict of the court on the ‘Grenade Attack’ on 21st August. US Embassy asked for the whole copy of the verdict to Foreign Ministry to evaluate the situation. An officer of US Embassy informed, ‘First the whole verdict will be evaluated and then we will send our opinion to US Foreign Directorate.’

US Embassy added, they have gotten some names of organization on 10th October about 21st August Grenade attack. These names put USA in a worried situation. This horrific attack took place at 2004. US government also found involvement of Kashmir based Pakistani terrorist organization ‘Hijbul Mujahidin’.
Hijbul Mujahidin is black listed in America as a terrorist organization. The verdict of the case also declared punishment to terrorist leader Yousuf Butt. Yousuf Butt is banned in USA according to their foreign directorate.
Meanwhile, Justice Shahed Nuruddin’s found involvement of ‘Harkatul Jihad Al Islami Bangladesh’ as known as ‘Huji’ in his verdict. Harkatul Jihad is also black listed as a terrorist organization in USA.
The verdict stated that Acting Chairperson of BNP Tarek Rahman met several times with the leaders of these terrorist organizations and also provided them governmental support. Not only Tarek Rahman but also several leaders of BNP were involved in this.
For this reason, former Home State Minister Lutfozzaman Babar and former Education Deputy Minister Abdus Salam Pintu were sentenced to death. Haris Chowdhury, Kaykobad and Tarek Rahman have been sentenced to serve lifetime in the jail.
According to US policy regarding terrorism, it has been said that those who use the terrorist organization or its member for something then they will be considered as terrorist as well. US Embassy thinks that, BNP used ‘Hijbul Mujahidin’ and ‘Harkatul Jihad’ to stage that grenade attack then according to US policy they will be black listed and considered as terrorist organization as well.
But after the verdict if BNP takes action to those who are going to be punished then USA might not include them in the list. But if they find direct involvement of Tarek Rahman in this matter then Tarek and BNP both will be branded in the black list.
United States of America forbids the person to enter in US soil and also cut all sorts of relation with the organization once they black listed for terrorism. They also put diplomatic pressure on the country to ban the organization. Now it is depending on US Embassy that whether they will take the same decision on BNP or not after analyzing the verdict.
