Kader Siddiqui is selling his Tangail constituency; 5 million is the selling price

Kader Siddiqui has been declared ineligible for the election. He was the President and candidate of Krishok Sromik Janata League. He wanted to compete from Tangail-4 (Kalihati) constituency. As he is ineligible to compete  he has proposed to sell his constituency to Oikko Front by 50 lakh taka. Advocate Rafiqul Islam President of Tangail district Krishok Sramik Janata League has confirmed this information.
A source from Oikko Front informed that, Kader Siddiqui collected his nomination forms for Tangail-4 (Kalihati) and Tangail-8 (Basail-Shakhipur) constituency for the parliamentary election. Though, Oikko Front was suspicious with him from the very beginning whether he can compete in the election or not. Because, he is accused of embezzling and corrupting government resources. Besides, he hid his total assets. Convener of Oikko Front Dr. Kamal Hossain tried to stop him but still he collected nomination forms for two constituencies. Now they have been informed that, his candidacy of Tangail-4 constituency might be revoked for being a defaulter and corruption. For this reason, Kader Siddiqui already offered this constituency (Tangail-4) to Dr. Kamal and asked 50 lakh taka from him in return. Meanwhile, Oikko Front is already thinking about alternative candidates for this constituency. Though, Dr. Kamal and other senior leaders are thinking that Kader Siddiqui is asking too much for this constituency.
Rafiqul Islam of Krishok Sramil Janata League confirmed this information and said, “Kader Siddiqui’s nomination for Tangail-4 constituency might be cancelled. Actually, some irregularities have been spotted regarding his development work when he was the election MP of this place during the last government. Everyone makes mistakes. And if anyone is doing politics, he will do that as well. But it was not as severe that his nomination will be revoked. But still, we are hearing that his nomination will be cancelled. If the rumor is true, the Oikko Front might lose this constituency. So, he has offered this constituency to another candidate of Oikko Front instead of money just to hold this constituency. He cannot be blamed for this. Whoever will compete from this place, he or she will definitely use Kader Siddiqui’s image directly or indirectly. So Kader Siddiqui did not ask money for the constituency. He asked for money for his image. It is totally granted in the political arena.”
