‘Dramatic Leaders’ of Oikko Front never had support of the people

News Desk: It was the talk of the town from the very beginning when Oikko Front leaders formed the alliance with BNP because they did not have enough exposure to the people. If their political history has been dug then this truth will come out on the open. Though their personal political life is very rich but they were always poor in terms of getting votes from the people. They are always known as ‘Dramatic Leaders’ of the country. For this reason, Political Analysts are thinking that, they are attaching themselves with BNP-Jamayat just to get the power. They also added that, they are ruining their personal image.

Data says, A S M Abrud Rab was defeated badly from the Laxmipur District in 1991 national parliamentary election. Then again, he was defeated by A B M Ashrafuddin in 2001 national parliamentary election from the same district. Then, Mahmudur Rahman Manna of Nagorik Oikko was defeated in the parliamentary election by BNP candidate Rezaul Bari Dinar in 2001 in Bogura. Then Leader of Jatiyo Oikko Front Dr. Kamal was defeated by BNP Leader Harunur Rashid in national parliamentary election in Dhaka-11 in 1991. He was defeated before by BNP candidate Abdus Sattar in 1981 presidency election.

Now political analysts are saying that, BNP is acting foolishly by relying on Dr. Kamal, Manna and Kader Siddiqui to win the election. They do not have any existence on the field of the politics of voting. BNP should remember that, leaders of Oikko Front played an important and big role during the liberation war but they were never supported by the people. Not in the past and not in the present.

Political Analyst Bibhu Ranjan Sarkar said, “Oikko Front leaders joined with a party who were against the liberation war and against of forming a non-communal society. They joined because they want to win the election. Though they asked BNP to leave Jamayate Islami the in reality it did not happen. They are keeping a secret alliance with Jamayate Islami. Presence of Shibir members in their meeting proves it.”

Meanwhile, former minister Barrister Nazmul Huda also agreed with Bibhu Ranjan Sarkar. BNP is desperate to win the election it can go wrong after the election.

It is to be noted that, Dr. Kamal, A S M Abdur Rab, Mahmudur Rahman Manna and Kader Siddiqui; all of them were part of Awami League once. They are known as the treacherous leaders. They proved their unfaithful personality number of times in their past days.
