At least 23 leaders are involved with BNP’s nomination business; actions will be taken after listing

News Desk: BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has formed a secret investigation team who are assigned to find out the culprits of nomination business. He learned this lesson when BNP did this business during city corporation elections. The investigation team informed that, many of the senior BNP leaders are involved with nomination business. They are accumulating a huge amount of money from the aspirants. Many of the leaders are using Tarique Rahman’s name to obtain money from the aspirants.
Source informed that, senior leaders ignored the application of other dedicated leaders. Instead, they gave nomination to those who bribed them. In truth, they earned a huge amount of money from those persons. They paid the price on the election field. BNP was lost in many city corporations. It disclosed after the election. This is why, Tarique Rahman formed this team so that history does not repeat.
This team was formed with some trustworthy people of Tarique Rahman himself. They informed that, many renowned leaders are involved with this which is a concerning matter.
A member of the team was reluctant to reveal his name and said, “Almost 50 candidates were given nominations in different constituencies for 11th National Parliamentary Election. Some of them had recommendation from the senior leaders. They used Tarique Rahman’s name. These senior leaders took 5 crore from per candidates as bribe.”
When asked to reveal the name of the leaders who are involved with nomination business, they said that it is directly under the supervision of Tarique Rahman (Tarique sir), for this reason we are unable to reveal names. But, almost 23 senior leaders’ names came up. We have solid evidence that these leaders are directly involved with nomination business.
It is to be informed that, recently a BNP leader named Mominul Haque complained to the media about this business. He was rejected because of nomination business. He submitted his nomination form for Chandpur-5 constituency. He said, “M A Matin was elected previously from Chandpur-5 constituency. He is hated by the local people. Still he got the nomination because he bribed the nomination board. Senior leaders took more than a crore of taka and gave him the nomination. It is a very sad incident.” He also informed that, many dedicated leaders are not getting the nomination because they did not bribe anyone.
Tarique Rahman is very concerned because of this issue. He is thinking that, those types of works would become the reason of downfall for BNP.
