News Desk: BNP wants to form their own by winning upcoming National
Parliamentary Election, but they are unsure whether they will still keep
Jamayat with them or not. BNP has divided into two parts regarding this
issue. Imprisoned leader of BNP Begum Khaleda Zia indicated not to let
go of Jamayat. On the other hand, Tarek Rahman cannot see any logic to
keep Jamayat with them, because it is stopping BNP to get support from
both domestic and international allies. Mother Khaleda Zia and son Tarek
Rahman are facing towards different directions to include Jamayat in
Jatiyo Oikko. Allies of BNP and even their own members are feeling
confused as Tarek and Begum Zia are thinking differently.
Source stated, Khaleda Zia is afraid of them as Jamayte Islami
capitalizes on the religion. Khaleda Zia thinks, Jamayat has a big pool
of supporters throughout the nation. This helped them to form government
in 2001. On the other hand, Jamayat protested harder against Awami
League, which BNP failed to do. When BNP – Jamayat was at power, at that
time Jamayat killed many Awami League members. Also Jamayat knows how
to capitalize on religion, which is very fond of by Khaleda Zia. She
even promoted these war criminals into ministers. Also she got Middle
Eastern funding by utilizing Jamayat. They presented to Middle Eastern
countries that they are going to establish the rules of Islam. She also
got Pakistani support only because Jamayat Islami was with her. These
are the reasons that Khaleda Zia likes Jamayat very much. On the other
hand, Tarek Rahman does not like Jamayat – Shibir. They could not loot
much because of Jamayat. Jamayat always complained about Tarek to
Khaleda Zia when they were in power. Jamayat considered Tarek as their
prime rival. They wanted to put Tarek aside and make their fortune.
Tarek blames Jamayat’s betrayal for his current condition.
Jamayat destroyed his image more than Awami League. Also, Tarek was
pressurized by donor nations and institutions to leave a political party
named Jamayat which is full of war criminals. For this reason, Tarek
instructed multiple BNP leaders not to include Jamayate Islam to Jatiyo
Oikko. But elder leaders like, Mirza Fakhrul, Mirza Abbas, Moudud Ahmed
also supports Khaleda’s decision. Mirza Fakhrul kept meeting with
Jamayat leaders under the rudder as Khaleda Zia instructed him to do so.
Also Jamayat has the ability to create a disrupting situation during
election.
On the other hand, Tarek supported leader Rizvi failed to omit
Jamayat from the pact. Since he is alone for the time being, he is
unable to fight back with Mirza Fakhrul’s plans. Political analysts
think, Tarek Rahman cannot leave Jamayat for now. BNP members are stuck
in middle of the disagreement between the mother and the son.
