News Desk : BNP – Jamayat is now planning on taking down Awami League
leaders by assassination. They are frustrated that they cannot overthrow
the government. Since, Jamayat failed to stop trials for War Criminals,
now they are targeting Awami League leaders to assassinate them with an
affiliation with BNP. As a part of their horrific plan, BNP – Jamayat
attacked the convoy of Awami League MP (Member of Parliament) candidate
Sheikh Annie Rahman in 12th September at Pirojpur town. They fired 9
rounds for 2 times to kill her.
Source informed Sheikh Annie Rahman is a leader of Awami League and candidate of parliament seat Pirojpur – 1. She was going to Pirojpur town from Tungipara with her convoy of cars and motorcycles. At that time, Amir of District Jamayate Islami Tofazzol Hossain led an attempt to kill her. Few moments’ later people heard sound of firing. At that time, nephew of Tofazzol Hossain named Hasanul Banna fired directly to Sheikh Annie’s cars. He fired multiple times. They failed as police were very active. Locals commented that they escaped swiftly.
Witnesses said, police left the place quickly after the first attempt. After that, when her convoy reached near her home which is in front of Women College, at that time two groups led by Secretary of Jamayat Abdur Rob and local BNP leader Ajgar attacked again. Her personal bodyguard also fired which made attackers to abandon their mission.
Source informed that Annie Rahman is spending time with local inhabitants for past one year. BNP – Jamayat leaders do not tolerate this. They think, Awami League leader Sheikh Annie Rahman who is depicted as a symbol of modesty will defeat BNP – Jamayat for sure if she participates. For this reason trained members of Shibir attempted to murder her.
Officer In – Charge (OC) of Pirojpur Sadar Thana S M Ziaul Haque already carried out a mission against the attackers. Two bodyguards of Sheikh Annie have been shot and currently they are admitted in the hospital.
In context, few policy makers of BNP think that, BNP and Jamayat is the most important member of 20 Party Alliance. The more election is getting closer, the more the internal problems between these two parties are arising. Their distance is increasing day by day. As part of rebuilding their relation, they are now attacking Awami League leaders together. They think that this will reduce their internal quarrel.
